The titles are created by a chess governing body. The players are then entitled to the awards based on their performance and ranking. Generally, these titles are bestowed upon the player for life.

EXPERT AND CLASS TITLES
As the name suggests, a player awarded with an Expert Title is superior to those awarded with Class Title. These titles are in contrary to the tiles given by (FIDE). However, one does retain the title of CANDIDATE MASTER, if they earned it in the above criteria.

NATIONAL MASTER TITLE
The award for being the strongest player brings the award of National Title or National Master Title. The strongest player in the country receives this award. The Country’s Chess Federation gives this award. And there is no role of FIDE, in the same.
Every country has its own set of regulations, that makes the player first eligible. And then suitable for winning the Title. These are generally 2200 Elo. The player either has to take part in a certain number of tournaments or feature prominently in the Country’s National Championship. And have extended to honorary titles that are awarded to prominent chess administrators, business patrons or politicians.
In some countries after the introduction of FIDE MASTERS, they drifted from conducting such championships. Prominent examples of such countries include Germany and Ireland. And have rendered in them being obsolete.

The most prestigious titles in the World of Chess are FIDE Titles. As a result, in order to acquire a FIDE title, a player must have high ratings and strong performances against elite players. They are lifetime titles. And in the event of dropping in players’ performance, they are not taken away.
The FIDE titles include the following:
A player with a FIDE rating of 2200 or higher is eligible for this award. And is the least prestigious among others.
A player who establishes a FIDE rating of 2300 or higher is eligible for this award. And can also be awarded in International Junior tournaments organized or approved by them.
A player who establishes a FIDE rating of 2400 is eligible for this title. And they must have a strong history of performances, which must be in at least three tournaments against a strong opponent.
This is the most prestigious title. And most importantly, the most difficult one. However, only players who have a FIDE rating of 2500 are eligible for this award.
These titles are only for the Women Chess Player. So as to be eligible for these, you have to fulfill conditions which are not that demanding. Most importantly, women can and do achieve the same levels of performance and achievement as men do.
